Our intent for this course is to increase the law enforcement community’s awareness of strategies to reduce gang violence through the exposure of informational materials and research. The course is a 2 hour course and will cover the below topics:
- Gang cohesiveness and how this relates to gang control efforts
- The process of gang desistance
- Evidence-based strategies to reduce gang violence
- Information to obtain suspect interviews
- Gathering gang evidence
- Gang search warrants and search warrants for persons
